Easy Rider Bike Capri

Q: Does the Easy Rider Bike Capri have a leg band or gripper?

No, the Easy Rider Bike Capri is unique in Terry's lineup for removing the leg band entirely, using a raw-cut hem instead. This is a deliberate comfort choice for riders who dislike any leg-band pressure against the thigh. The tradeoff is that there is no gripper holding the hem in place, so riders who want a band or gripper to keep the hem from riding up will be better served by something like the Grand Tour Bike Knicker, which includes a secure leg finish.

product care

Remove your knickers and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Nice capri bike shorts

"These capri pants looks really nice and they are very soft and comfortable and they nicely cover the knees. My only complaint is that I wish they had leg grippers in the legs to keep them in place below the knee. Luckily I sow so I will add some myself."

— Hanne J. (4/5)

Buttery soft but leg length too short for me

"I sized up, from my usual medium to a large, because I have long legs (33-34 inch inseam), and capri length are generally just too short. Sizing up just resulted in a baggy fit with the leg bottoms still ending up bunched under the backs of my knees, I had to keep tugging them down . Some day, I hope to find Terry capri tights sized for an athletic long-legged build. Meanwhile, I was impressed by the buttery feel of the fabric and the nice high waistband. I wore them on a hot day climbing up to a pass, and they didn’t feel hot or clammy."

Capri

"Easy fit soft fabric love the length"

— Jennifer T. (5/5)

Softest capris ever!

"Omg, the fabric for these capri is unbelievably soft! They fit well, too. I like the trim in the legs because there’s no elastic and it hugs my legs just fine. The bright blue color is the perfect match with my short sleeve Terry bike shirt I bought last year; this is my go-to outfit for cooler morning rides! 😎"

— Anne R. (5/5)

I found these capris to

"I found these capris to be very comfortable and I love the fabric. They are longer then my previous pair I own that I purchased years ago. The padding was very comfortable and did not feel to bulky."

— Karen R. (5/5)

Easy rider black capris

"Very comfortable, nice fit, not bulky!"

— Sue B. (5/5)

Took a spill and no damage to the pants at all!

"These pants are fantastic! The first time I wore them I took a spill off my tricycle and had road rash up and down my leg. The pants showed no damage at all. They are incredibly comfortable and the wide waistband doesn’t dig in at all. I am 4’11” with a 25” inseam and the cuff hits about 3. 5 inches above my ankle. The hem does creep slightly but not enough to be a bother. 10/10, love these pants."

— Kate (5/5)

Easy Rider Bike Capri

"I thought that this pant's material was too hot for warm weather riding. Also there were no pockets and the leg holes fit loose around my legs (some people may like this)."

— Kris H. (3/5)

Love the softness

"Great fit and will be worn between end of summer thru fall."

— Dianne L. (5/5)

Easy Rider Bike Capri

"Super comfy. Exactly what I was looking for. True to size as well."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

Who is the Easy Rider Bike Capri best for?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri suits riders who want more leg coverage than a short without the pressure of a traditional leg band. Its defining feature is the complete removal of the leg band in favor of a raw-cut hem, paired with a soft, sueded nylon and spandex fabric in a low-compression fit. If you prefer a relaxed, luxe feel over a tight supportive one, and want seasonal coverage from a 20.5 inch inseam, the Easy Rider Bike Capri is built around exactly those preferences.

Does the Easy Rider Bike Capri have a leg band or gripper?

No, the Easy Rider Bike Capri is unique in Terry's lineup for removing the leg band entirely, using a raw-cut hem instead. This is a deliberate comfort choice for riders who dislike any leg-band pressure against the thigh. The tradeoff is that there is no gripper holding the hem in place, so riders who want a band or gripper to keep the hem from riding up will be better served by something like the Grand Tour Bike Knicker, which includes a secure leg finish.

How long of a ride can I comfortably wear the Easy Rider Bike Capri for?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri is positioned for comfort across rides of most any duration, thanks to its Terry Fleet Air chamois. This seamless chamois uses 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology and multi-level foam padding, perforated for ventilation, with soft-wing construction that reduces bulk at the inner thigh to avoid chafing. Whether you ride shorter outings or stay in the saddle for longer stretches, the Easy Rider Bike Capri is built to support women cyclists comfortably throughout.

How much compression does the Easy Rider Bike Capri provide?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri offers minimal compression. It is built around a sueded, matte-finished nylon and spandex fabric that prioritizes a luxe, relaxed feel over a supportive, muscle-holding fit. Riders who love a soft next-to-skin texture and a non-restrictive sensation tend to gravitate toward it. If you specifically want firm compression and muscle support, a higher-compression knicker such as the Bella Prima Bike Knicker would match that need more directly than the low-compression Easy Rider Bike Capri.

Can I carry my phone in the Easy Rider Bike Capri?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri includes a hidden pocket built into the waistband, but it is sized for a key or credit card rather than a smartphone. This keeps essentials secure without adding bulk to the relaxed fit. If you need to carry a phone on your rides, the Easy Rider Bike Capri won't accommodate it, and you'd be better served by the Spinnaker Bike Capri, which offers a smartphone-sized pocket for riders who want to bring more along.

When should I choose a different knicker over the Easy Rider Bike Capri?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri is ideal if you dislike leg-band pressure and prefer a soft, low-compression feel. It becomes less ideal in two cases. If you want a leg gripper to keep the hem from riding up during active riding, the Grand Tour Bike Knicker offers a secure finish. If you want firm compression and maximum chamois support for touring or long endurance days, the Bike Knicker with its Flex Air Tour chamois and moderate compression is a better match than the relaxed Easy Rider Bike Capri.

Why does the Easy Rider Bike Capri have such a long inseam?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri uses a 20.5 inch inseam, one of the longest in Terry's lineup, to provide more leg coverage and seasonal usability. The extra length makes it a strong choice for riders who want coverage in cooler shoulder-season conditions or for sun protection on longer rides. Combined with the raw-cut hem and super-wide waistband, the longer inseam lets the Easy Rider Bike Capri extend comfortably down the leg without any band to interrupt the fit.

What makes the Easy Rider Bike Capri feel different from other cycling knickers?

The Easy Rider Bike Capri stands apart through its sueded, matte-finished nylon and spandex fabric, which gives it a distinctive luxe texture and a low-compression, relaxed fit. Most knickers rely on a leg band to finish the hem, but the Easy Rider Bike Capri removes it entirely with a raw-cut edge, so there's no pressure against the thigh. For riders who value a soft, non-restrictive feel and comfort as a design priority, the Easy Rider Bike Capri delivers an experience unlike a firmer performance knicker.
