Description
Every cyclist needs a totally waterproof and windproof pant in their cycling kit. The upgraded Lupra GORE-TEX pant offers the next gen, PFAS-free GORE-TEX technology. Removing chemicals from the world's best rain gear was no easy feat but GORE took the lead with the newly innovated ePE membrane that reduces its carbon footprint while maintaining durably waterproof, windproof and breathable protection. This is it, in its thinnest fabric package.

The Lupra also has cycling-specific features like pre-shaped knees, adjustable calf tapering, pockets for storage (that double as a stow-away pocket that the pants can pack into when not in use) and reflective details for added visibility. Designed to provide enough room to wear over a baselayer or padded bottom. 32 inch inseam.

product care
Remove your tights and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Great Quality - Sizing runs really Small!

"The quality and features *seem* terrific - exaxtly what I was looking for but the sizing runs really small. I wear a size 8 or 10 pants and a medium in all Terry biking shorts but I couldn't pull a size medium in these pants over my thighs!"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant has no built-in chamois. It is designed as a weatherproof outer layer, with enough room to wear over a baselayer or your existing padded shorts or bibs. This matters because it keeps your chamois choice in your own hands — you pair it with the padded bottom you already trust. If you want an all-in-one tight with the padding included, a cool-weather or thermal tight is the better route rather than the Lupra.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is a waterproof, windproof shell in its thinnest fabric package, not an insulating thermal garment. It blocks wind chill and rain effectively, but warmth comes from what you layer underneath. For genuinely cold rides, wear a thermal layer or padded tight below it. If you want insulated warmth from the garment itself rather than a waterproof shell, consider the Thermal Bike Tight or Winter Bike Tight, both of which have brushed interiors and a chamois built in.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is for riders facing sustained rain and wet, windy mixed conditions who already have padded shorts or bibs and want a dependable weatherproof outer layer. Its entire purpose is keeping rain and wind out, using next-gen PFAS-free GORE-TEX with an ePE membrane that stays durably waterproof and breathable. If staying dry on wet rides is the problem you're solving, the Lupra earns its place in your kit. It is less suited to warm dry-weather riding.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant uses next-gen PFAS-free GORE-TEX built around a newly innovated ePE membrane. Removing these chemicals from rain gear was difficult, but it reduces the material's carbon footprint while keeping durably waterproof, windproof and breathable protection. For a rider, this means you get reliable weather protection on wet, windy rides without the environmental trade-off that older waterproof membranes carried. The breathability matters too, so you stay comfortable rather than clammy during efforts in the rain.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is a full-length pant with a 32 inch inseam and cycling-specific shaping. Pre-shaped knees follow your pedaling position, and adjustable calf tapering with a lower-leg zipper and snap buttons lets you dial in a close fit. This keeps loose fabric away from your chain and cranks, which matters because a flapping pant leg is both a drag and a safety risk. Riders who want knee-length coverage instead should look at a knicker rather than this full-length pant.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant has a zippered side pocket that doubles as a stow pocket the pants can pack into when not in use. For riders who want a packable waterproof layer ready in their kit, this means you can carry it compactly, pull it on when the weather turns, and tuck it away again once skies clear. Reflective details add visibility in the low-light, overcast conditions where you're most likely to need the Lupra in the first place.

Choose based on whether your main threat is water or cold. The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is a waterproof, windproof shell meant for sustained rain and wind, worn over your padded bottom. If your rides are cold and dry and you want a padless thermal layer over your shorts rather than rain protection, the Padless Winter Bike Tight is the better fit. Some riders keep both: a thermal tight for cold dry days and the Lupra for when the forecast turns genuinely wet.

Yes. Riders who want head-to-leg waterproof protection often pair the Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant with the Swiftride GORE-TEX Bike Jacket. The Lupra covers your legs with the same PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane logic, keeping rain and wind off the lower half while the jacket handles your upper body. Together they create a complete weatherproof shell system over your regular padded kit, which is what you want for committing to a ride when the forecast calls for sustained rain.

The Lupra GORE-TEX Bike Pant is the wrong choice if you want a chamois built in, warmth from the garment alone, or something for warm dry-weather riding. It is a waterproof shell with no padding and no insulation. Riders wanting an all-in-one cool-weather tight with a chamois should look at the Coolweather Bike Tight, while those needing insulated cold-weather warmth should choose the Thermal Bike Tight or Winter Bike Tight. The Lupra earns its place specifically when rain and wind are the problem.
