Description

Limited production Canyon//SRAM team edition Aries Spherical, is Giro's most premium helmet ever. A helmet that feels like it isn’t there, its sleeker form and lighter weight (only 265 grams in size medium, CE certification), deliver sensational comfort and cooling power. We feel fortunate to be able to sell this limited team edition supporting the women's Canyon/SRAM racing team.

The Aries helmet utilizes a Spherical Technology powered by MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) that allows the helmet’s outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during an impact, increasing overall cranial protection. The 24 wind vents maximize airflow while plush, antimicrobial padding and a network of deep internal channels elevate comfort.

product care
Helmets are made of materials that can be damaged by many commonly available cleaners. Petroleum based solvents or cleaners are especially problematic. They can damage a helmet so that its protective capabilities are reduced. Many times this damage is not visible. For best results, clean the helmet using a soft cloth or sponge, warm water and mild soap. Allow the helmet to air dry and then store it in a cool, dry place. Please note, excessive heat can damage your helmet. For example, in direct sunlight the interior of a car or dark gear bag can get hot enough to cause heat damage. Damaged helmets will appear to have an uneven or bubbly surface. When your helmet is not in use, we recommend you store it in a cool, dry place.

BEST Helmet Ever

"I previously had a 10-year old helmet, and figured it was time to buy a new one. WOW, this helmet is amazing! It fits great, and the dial adjustment is smooth and effortless. I am not going to lie, I did balk at the price a little bit (like I said, it's been awhile since I've bought a new helmet!) but it is worth every penny."

Price a mistake?

"What's with the $349 pricing here? This same helmet is priced at $300 with free shipping direct from Giro. Is this pricing g a mistake? Or a way to avoid giving the current discount?"

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet is built for road riders who want Giro's lightest, most premium helmet and aren't shopping on price. Developed alongside the women's Canyon//SRAM professional racing team, it's a limited team-edition model aimed at racing and fast group riding. At roughly 265 to 270 grams in a size medium with 24 vents, it suits riders who prioritize low weight, airflow, and MIPS-based rotational protection over everyday features. If that describes your riding, the Aries Spherical LTD earns its place.

Spherical Technology powered by MIPS is a rotational-protection system in the Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet. The helmet's outer liner is designed to rotate around the inner liner during certain impacts, which helps manage the twisting forces a crash can transmit to your head and increases overall cranial protection. For road riders moving at speed or in fast group settings, this matters because real-world crashes rarely happen at a perfectly straight angle, and the Aries Spherical LTD is built to address that.

The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet is among the lightest helmets in this lineup, with Terry's copy citing roughly 265 to 270 grams in a size medium. It pairs that low weight with 24 wind vents and a network of deep internal channels to maximize airflow, plus plush antimicrobial padding. For riders putting in long road miles or hard efforts in warm weather, the Aries Spherical LTD is designed to feel like it isn't there, keeping your head cool without the helmet calling attention to itself.

The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet was developed in the context of professional road racing, alongside the women's Canyon//SRAM team, and carries CE certification. It's aimed at road riders who want a race-proven, lightweight, team-edition helmet for fast group riding and racing. If most of your riding is off-road or mountain biking, the Aries Spherical LTD isn't positioned for that use, and you'd be better served by a helmet designed with trail and rougher terrain in mind.

Ponytail compatibility and an integrated light are not documented for the Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet, so neither feature should be assumed on this SKU. If ponytail accommodation is a must-have in a premium road helmet, consider the Airbreaker 2.0 Bike Helmet instead. If you want a lit helmet for low-light or early-morning riding, the Allroad Wander LTD MIPS Helmet includes that feature. The Aries Spherical LTD is best chosen when weight, ventilation, and MIPS-based protection are your priorities.

Yes — the Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet is a limited-production Canyon//SRAM team edition, so availability may be more limited than standard-production helmets in this lineup. It's sold in part to support the women's Canyon//SRAM racing team, which is part of what makes it a limited run. If you're drawn to the Aries Spherical LTD as Giro's most premium helmet, it's worth knowing this is a finite team-edition model rather than an always-stocked staple.

The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet is positioned as Giro's flagship, limited team-edition helmet, built for riders who want the lightest, most premium option and aren't price-sensitive. Choose the Aries Spherical LTD when you specifically want its roughly 265 to 270 gram weight, 24-vent cooling, and team-edition pedigree, and when the limited-run status is part of the appeal rather than a drawback.

Both options use MIPS-based rotational protection, but they serve different riders. The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet is the lightest and most premium, built for road racing and fast group riding at roughly 265 to 270 grams with 24 vents. The Airbreaker 2.0 Bike Helmet is the pick if confirmed ponytail compatibility matters to you. Choose the Aries Spherical LTD when weight, ventilation, and a limited team edition outweigh that need.

The Aries Spherical LTD Bike Helmet features plush antimicrobial padding paired with deep internal channels for airflow. Antimicrobial treatment helps resist odor-causing buildup from sweat, which matters for a helmet you'll wear on long, warm road rides. To keep it fresh, gently hand-wash the removable padding with mild soap and let it air-dry away from direct heat, which preserves both the padding and the overall comfort the Aries Spherical LTD is designed to deliver ride after ride.
