product Detail
• 88% recycled polyester/12% spandex
• 6 panel construction provides a performance fit
• contoured 3 inch waistband with slightly higher rear rise for on-bike coverage
• flat seam stitching prevents chafing
• 2 inch inseam

product care
Remove your liner and launder asap for best results as residual sweat may damage the chamois. Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees. Use neutral non-aggressive detergents, keep like colors together and avoid dryers. If you use chamois butter/cream, your garment's ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised. Note: we recommend that you wash new bottoms prior to use.

Questions & Answers

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner suits riders who want the most minimal, lowest-profile padding and move between casual activities and cycling without changing clothes. With a very short 2 inch inseam and a low-profile chamois that concentrates padding at key contact points, it's built for half-day rides and on-and-off-bike days. If most of your riding involves quick outings, errands blended with saddle time, or an athletic look under everyday clothing, the Barely There Padded Bike Liner fits that rhythm well.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner is designed to disappear under any garment, whether you're on or off the bike. Its minimal padding and shorter inseam keep bulk low, so it reads as ordinary underlayers rather than cycling kit. Riders who want to pull on casual shorts, a skirt, or athletic bottoms and ride without looking like they're in dedicated cycling gear tend to find the Barely There Padded Bike Liner works for that discreet, blend-in wearing style.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner uses a low-profile chamois with dual-density foam shaped to concentrate padding at key contact points rather than offering a full, broad pad. This is light coverage, not maximum cushioning — intentional for riders who want minimal bulk and freedom of movement. If you prefer the lightest possible protection for shorter outings, the Barely There Padded Bike Liner delivers that. Riders who want fuller, all-day cushioning should look toward a higher-grade liner in the range instead.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner is positioned for half-day rides rather than full-day or multi-day distances. Its minimal, low-profile chamois is built for lighter saddle time, making it ideal when you're mixing a ride with other activities. If your rides regularly stretch into endurance or all-day territory, you'll likely want more cushioning than the Barely There Padded Bike Liner offers, and a fuller liner such as the Universal Bike Liner Plus would serve those longer hours better.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner has a 2 inch inseam, a shorter inseam with minimal leg coverage. That's offset by a contoured 3 inch waistband with a slightly higher rear rise for on-bike coverage. If you like minimal leg coverage and a barely-there feel, this works well. Riders who want more leg coverage and a lighter, less compressive fit should consider the Universal Bike Liner or Universal 5 inch Bike Liner, both of which offer a longer inseam.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner is offered in a separate plus version, the Barely There Padded Bike Liner Plus, carrying the same minimal padding, shorter inseam, and discreet-wear design in an extended size range. If you need plus sizing, choose the Barely There Padded Bike Liner Plus rather than the standard version. Both share the same half-day positioning and low-profile chamois, so your decision is simply about which size range fits your body.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner carries moderate compression in its printed stretch fabric, giving a supportive, performance-oriented fit rather than a fully relaxed one. The compression and breathability work together to hold the liner in place and manage comfort across half-day rides. If you prefer a loose, non-compressive feel next to the skin, the Barely There Padded Bike Liner may feel more snug than you'd like. Riders who enjoy a trim, athletic layer under their shorts tend to appreciate that moderate support.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner offers minimal padding with a 2 inch inseam and moderate compression, ideal for half-day rides and blended on-and-off-bike wear. If you want Terry's own most abbreviated minimal-coverage option, the Cyclo Brief 2.0 Bike Liner is worth comparing. The decision comes down to how much leg coverage and which fabric feel you want: the Barely There Padded Bike Liner gives a short, performance-style liner, while the Cyclo Brief 2.0 Bike Liner leans even more minimal in coverage.

The Barely There Padded Bike Liner earns its place for half-day rides and minimal, low-profile wear. If your distances grow and you start wanting more chamois cushioning for endurance comfort, that's the signal to step up to a fuller liner like the Universal Bike Liner Plus. If you simply want more leg coverage with lighter compression, the Universal 5 inch Bike Liner is the natural next step. Match the switch to what changed — distance or coverage — rather than replacing the Barely There Padded Bike Liner outright.
