Wanted to Love it!

"I wanted to love the skort The sizing seems to be all over the map. I first ordered a size medium and it was way too big so I exchanged it for a small and it was way too small. When I called Terry, they said you can cinch it at the waist but then it bunches a lot and does not look very good. It’s very cute and would be great if the sizing worked…. . i’m returning it. I usually wear a size 6."

Good fit

"It took me a closer examination of these bike shorts to realize how the waist can be adjusted. Now they fit great. Good length and nice cushion!"

— Sandra C. (4/5)

bought it before

"I had a grey one that I bought a few years ago. . and I wanted another, so I went for the same skort. . different color. Love them!"

— Elizabeth W. (5/5)

Pretty and comfortable

"Soft material that fits well. Much more flattering than shorts."

— Marla B. (5/5)

On or off the bike skort.

"I have a previous grey version of this skirt and it is great on and off the bike! The variety and locations of the pockets are perfect as compared to the other skorts offered. Would rather have this in black but black iris (navy) is workable."

— Kelly B. (5/5)

Great but the metro was better

"I bought this newer version of the metro- a skirt I have worn and loved for 3 years but has faded in the sun. The new version loses the magnetic close pocket which I loved, but keeps the other three. Still dang cute"

Nice color, prefer other designs

"I bought this because I wanted a different color than black or gray. The blue is nice. This skort has one fewer pocket than the Metro skort; not sure why, but to me, that's too bad. I'd rather have another pocket than the waist adjustment, but since it fit true to size, I didn't need that. Also, the one zip pocket is on the right, so if you pair this with the snap bike shirt, which I also bought, all of the weight in your pockets will be on the right, which seems to be to be bad planning."

Perfect fit!

"This is exactly the skort (actually a skirt with a separate bike short) I have been looking for to take on our summer Backroads multi-adventure trip. It is just the right length and the elastic on the legs is the most comfortable of any bike short I've tried. It is more of a dark navy blue than black as the description said, but I love the color."

— Pat M. (5/5)

Gorgeous color

"Love the fit, similar to the previous model minus one side pocket. Such a pretty blue."

Q&A

Questions & Answers

The Venture Bike Skort is built for riders who want one piece that moves between activities. Terry positions it for road or mountain biking, hiking, travel, and work, thanks to its detachable Universal Liner. You wear the padded liner when you're riding and leave it out when you're off the bike, so the outer skirt reads as everyday wear. The recycled stretch woven fabric is lightweight and quiet in motion, which keeps it from feeling like dedicated cycling kit when you're walking around town or traveling.

The Venture Bike Skort is sold with a separate Universal Liner that includes an Urban chamois, padded for comfort. Importantly, this liner is unattached, so you choose whether to wear it. The Urban chamois is a compact, seamless pad with 4-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology and multi-density foam, designed for a more upright commuter position. That detachable system is the whole point of the Venture Bike Skort: on-bike padding when you need it, and a clean skirt with no liner when you're hiking, traveling, or at work.

The Venture Bike Skort has a new waist adjustment system that lets you dial in your preferred fit. This matters for a multi-purpose skort because your waist needs can shift between activities and between wearing the liner or not. Terry has spent decades fitting women cyclists, and this adjustability means the Venture Bike Skort can sit comfortably whether you're riding upright on a commute, hiking a trail, or wearing it to work. It takes the guesswork out of getting a secure, comfortable fit across different uses.

The Venture Bike Skort is designed for riders who want a feminine silhouette without losing pedaling mobility. It has a full front vertical zipper and rear hem splits built specifically so the skirt opens and moves with your legs as you ride. The recycled stretch woven fabric adds give and stays quiet in motion. Combined with the detachable Universal Liner and its Urban chamois, these mobility features let the Venture Bike Skort function as real cycling wear rather than a skirt that only looks the part.

The Venture Bike Skort has two front hand pockets plus a zippered pocket on the right side that securely fits a smartphone. For a skort meant to cross between biking, hiking, travel, and work, that secure zip pocket matters: it keeps your phone safe while you're pedaling or moving, and the hand pockets add everyday convenience off the bike. The pocket layout reinforces what the Venture Bike Skort is built to do, which is work as one versatile piece across different parts of your day.

The Venture Bike Skort suits shorter, more upright riding better than long endurance days. Its Universal Liner uses the Urban chamois, a compact commuter-style pad that's shorter front to back and less bulky, ideal for commuting and moderate rides. If most of your riding involves longer distances or endurance days, you'll want more substantial chamois support. In that case, consider an integrated performance option like the Rebel Bike Skort, which pairs a feminine silhouette with a higher-performance chamois built for all-day riding.

The decision comes down to whether you want flexibility or simplicity. The Venture Bike Skort uses a detachable Universal Liner, so you decide whether to wear the padded liner, which makes it genuinely wearable for hiking, travel, and work as well as biking. If you'd rather have everything in one piece with no separate liner to manage, an integrated skort is the better fit. The Indie Bike Skort has a sewn-in chamois for fitness and moderate rides, while the Rebel Bike Skort offers an attached liner built for higher-performance riding.

Both the Venture Bike Skort and the Rover Bike Skort use a detachable-liner system, so both give you the choice of wearing the padded liner or not. The Venture Bike Skort features a flatteringly curved back panel with reflective piping and embroidered chainlink detail in a quiet recycled stretch woven fabric. If you specifically want a detachable-liner skort with a printed accent panel and a more casual, versatile feel, the Rover Bike Skort is worth considering. Both serve riders who value liner flexibility across different uses.

The Venture Bike Skort is best for riders who want one skirt to carry across biking, hiking, travel, and work. Its detachable Universal Liner with Urban chamois gives you on-bike padding when you want it and a clean skirt when you don't, and the dial-in waist adjustment lets you fine-tune fit for each use. Styling details like reflective piping and an embroidered chainlink accent keep it looking intentional off the bike. If you value versatility and the flexibility of a removable liner, the Venture Bike Skort fits that need well.
